London Road Jewellery are showcasing new additions to the collection at the International Jewellery London show between 31st and 2nd September 2014. Additions to the collection include a new piece, the ‘Velvet Leaf.’ Inspired by the beautiful and delicate velvet seed heads which come from a variety of Abutilon from the mallow family. The Velvet Leaf collection will include three different rings with matching pendant necklaces and earrings in 9ct white gold with diamonds set into the marquise shapes. The Velvet collection will become a strong addition to the diamond Portobello collection.
Three colourful pendant necklaces with matching rings have been added to Pimilco Bubble, the best-selling signature collection at London Road Jewellery. Available in rose gold or white gold, it will be difficult to choose a favourite between diamond and pink tourmaline, diamond and blue topaz and diamond and moonstone. The new pieces in the Pimlico Bubble collection will be perfect partners for the multi gem stud earrings and bubble stud earrings within the collection.
Each and every piece of the London Road Jewellery collection is designed and manufactured in-house. London Road is proud to have its own talented pattern makers and goldsmiths who work together to create new collections. Each piece of jewellery takes 3 months from inception to completion of the first piece. For pieces with precise patterns, the programme CAD is used. For a more organic look, patterns are handmade, firstly in silver which allows to experiment with different textures and finishes. The team is in constant pursuit for perfection when creating a new collection, or adding to an established collection. When the ‘right’ gemstones are not available, lapidaries [craftsmen who cut and polish gemstones] are often commissioned to produce gem stones unique to the London Road Collection. London Road Jewellery guarantees that it only uses conflict free diamonds from suppliers who are trading within the Kimberley Process.
